"Dinner and Drinks" with Howie D of the Backstreet Boys

For over 25 years, Howie D has been a part of the Backstreet Boys. Touring the planet, putting out hit records, and now becoming a group for a whole new generation. But Howie's story starts in Central Florida.

I learned in this episode that Howie was born and raised in Central Florida. He lived and grew up in the Orlando area so he's known about Brevard his whole life.

I think one of the coolest parts of learning about Howie's "Brevard County Story", is that when he was a young man, he and his family would travel over to Brevard and would create young memories here in our county. And to me, full circle stories are the coolest. Howie is now setting down roots in our community and as you'll learn in the episode, Howie even has property you can buy or even rent from him! Before we get into the episode, I also want to give Howie's wife a shout out too! She came out to the 4th Annual Downtown Melbourne Food and Wine Festival and hopefully Howie gave her and his kids the leftovers too!

So let's get you into Howie's story as we did this episode at Cryderman's in Downtown Melbourne:

We had a lot of laughs during this episode and it's always a treat to spend some time with Howie. But now I wanna take the time to talk about Cryderman's BBQ.

Obviously, we were in Downtown Melbourne and this place is super legit! Brevard needs a BBQ joint just like this and Cryderman's has been doing it up in Cocoa Village for a while but now we got our own spot in Downtown Melbourne and my stomach LLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOVVVVVVVEEEEEESSSSSSSS it! Amy provided dinner with ribs, pulled pork, brisket and some great sides. For real, get the mac and cheese!!! And if you didn't hear Amy explain in the episode, you need to have the brisket with onions and pickles...it will change your life. Just know, that if you want BBQ and it's like 4 or 5pm they may be sold out. For real, at Cryderman's, when they sell out they close. So get there early!!! And after typing this all out and staring at the pictures again, I want Cryderman's like right now.

This was such a great episode and I can't begin to thank everyone that was involved. From Akili with Melbourne Mainstreet to Amy and everyone at Cryderman's. I'd also like to that Justin Medina from Playalinda Brewing and the Brix Project for driving down from Titusville to come drop off some beer and a t-shirt for us. Also, my pals at Alpizar Law stopped by too and hung out. So thanks to John and Janna, David and Rebecca for coming out and bringing some friends with you too.

A special thanks to Melbourne Mainstreet for helping organize this episode at Cryderman's.
