Florence continues to rake the North Carolina coast

Florence is at a near-standstill as it continues to rip-up the North Carolina coast as a category one hurricane.

At 11 a.m., Florence was east-northeast of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina with 80 mile-an-hour winds.  It made landfall early Friday morning at Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina.

Storm surge of more than 10-feet has already been reported along the North Carolina coast.  Forecasters say Florence may even veer into open water along the coast before making landfall again in South Carolina.  It's expected to become a tropical storm by Saturday morning before it eventually heads north as a depression into the Ohio Valley.

Meantime, Isaac is now a tropical depression in the southern Caribbean.
