Cardi B has skin issues just like the rest of us.
On Monday (January 25), the "WAP" rapper took to Twitter to ask her fans for skincare advice after sharing that she's been struggling with "uncomfortable" acne for months.
"I need ya help tho....," read the first of Cardi's series of tweets. "I been breaking out lately and my face is extremely dry. I don't think these products are working. I think it's the water out here .....What are some good products for little black heads, break outs and dry skin on your face ?"
Fans then suggested a few CeraVe and Cetaphil products. However, Cardi said neither of the brands' products has helped with her acne. "It really don't work for me," she said of the CeraVe cleansers and moisturizers. She added, "I bought the whole package of Clinique. It worked alil bit but still sometimes my face gets really dry and I’m breaking out on my chin .I don’t know if Is cause of age or the water out here."
Twitter followers continued to suggest skin remedies, including beauty guru's favorite beauty secret: retinol. However, Cardi replied that when she "went to a dermatologist like 2 weeks ago," he gave her retinol and it made her "face so dry and it [burned]."
While fans noted that retinol has a "purging phase," Cardi said she "don’t got time for my face to do that."
The suggestions continued to roll in as Cardi shared a photo of her acne flare-up, which she captioned, "This is my cheek...It’s been happening for like 3 months now ...Sh*t really is uncomfortable."
After a fan asked Cardi why she chose to ask for fans' advice instead of seeing an esthetician or dermatologist, Cardi said it was because "they suck out here in LA." However, she did later add that she wants to "go to a good dermatologist that do blood testing and everything.Get to the root of the problem but I don’t know any."
Kehlani then hoped in to recommend a New York-based esthetician, which appeared to be music to Cardi's ears. "Ok @Kehlani recommended me somebody for my face ...Imma give ya a update in 2 weeks .....I'm off this for a while ...LOVE YA," she tweeted.
