Adopt Cookie: Give Her a Second Chance at Finding a Family

Cookie St. Johns County Pet Center

UPDATE: Cookie found her fur-ever home!

Every Furball Friday I'm featuring a lovable little creature to adopt from a Jacksonville shelter! It's basically their Tinder profile. You gonna swipe right on this sweet face?

Meet Cookie

Breed: hound mix

Age: 5 months (a puppy!)

Gender: female

Size: a lanky puppy that will probably grow to 50 pounds

Cookie is a sweet puppy in the middle of her redemption story. She was adopted two weeks ago but dropped back at the shelter because the owner's cats were beating her up. Tragic, right?! So now our girl really needs to find her perfect match.

Cookie is in full puppy energy mode so she loves jumping, playing and generally being adorable. She plays well with other dogs but might work best with a family as the only pet so she can take all the attention she deserves. Plus, Cookie's adoption has been reduced to just a $20 processing fee since the last owner already paid to have her spayed and microchipped!

FYI, she's a package deal because she doesn't go anywhere without her toy giraffe/platypus. It's so stinkin cute! But seriously, what animal is that?
