Cuban Migrants Come Ashore In Keys As Support Grows For Protestors

Cubans who came ashore in the Keys are being processed by US Border Patrol. Twenty-three migrants in a boat made landfall last night on Duck Key. FWC, FHP and USBP responded to the scene. Local 10 News reports the Cubans told officers they sailed from Cuba two days ago.

As Cubans protest ongoing food shortage and power outages on their island, they getting support in South Florida. Cuban democracy activist Rosa Maria Paya is calling on world governments.

Speaking in Miami, Paya said the only way to topple the regime in Cuba is to keep up the pressure.

Large crowds of demonstrators gathered at Versailles restaurant last night.
