Downtown Jacksonville will soon be the home of a Retired Naval Ship!
The USS Orleck will be docked at The Jacksonville Ship Yards hopefully in the next 30 days.
There are plans to create a Naval Museum with funding coming from the State of Florida.
The USS Orleck has been involved in many wars; including The Vietnam War, the Cold War, and even the Korean War.
News4Jax has a rendering of what the museum could look like.
If it's bringing people to DTJax and it employs people I am here for it! All that's missing more restaurants, a strip of bars, and an Aquarium of some sort!
