Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry announced the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens will reopen this weekend. He said there will be safety measures and limitations to protect guests, staff and the animals:
- Tickets will be sold online only. Guests won't be allowed to enter the parking lot without tickets already purchased. You won't be able to buy tickets on-site.
- All zoo staff will have their temperatures taken when they arrive and wear masks in public areas. Masks will also be available to guests.
- There will be a one-way path to guide traffic and 25 hand sanitizing stations strategically placed throughout the park.
- All enclosed exhibits and indoor spaces -- like restaurants, shops, the splash center and playground -- will stay closed.
