Sam Smith came out as non binary earlier this year and has decided to now go by the pronouns they and them.
The decision came "After a lifetime of being at war with my gender," they said. When Sam shared their gender fluidity in February, they kept the he/him prounouns. Sam's thoughts and feelings have changed and they seem happier in their skin saying, "I’ve decided to embrace myself for who I am, inside and out."
Sam has been one of my favorite artists since releasing "Stay With Me". I borderline stan, honestly. It's been beautiful to see them struggle with self confidence and come out on the other side THRIVING. I have nothing but love for this sweet, talented human being.
