Forbes Names 5 Best Restaurant Picks in Jax

Forbes tells us who is the highest paid female artist and the youngest billionaire, but neither of those can help me find my next date night dinner spot. Now, we've got a nice little guide because here are Forbes' picks for best restaurants in Jax. The list was meant for tourists but we're trying to eat good, too, ya know?

1. Black Sheep

AGREED. Their Sunday fried chicken dinner with mashed potatoes, greens and the fluffiest damn biscuit I've ever had is even more perfect paired with a Dusty Boot bourbon cocktail.

2. Juliette's Bistro

Juliette's Bistro, located inside the Omni Hotel downtown, seems to be a destination brunch spot. $28 per person gets you bottomless mimosas,  a buffet seafood station and prime rib carving station. Sounds qua-li-ty.

3. Cowford Chophouse

Cowford has the steaks. We know that. They know we know that. What you need to do is snag a table to dine on their rooftop. No other spot in Jax has a view of the Main Street Bridge like that.

4. Town Hall

When Chef Tom Gray is in the kitchen, your taste buds are are gonna sing. Chef Tom and owner Sarah Marie Johnston opened this cozy spot in San Marco that features locally sourced ingredients and an eclectic menu. BONUS: after originally selling only beer and wine, they just started serving cocktails in November.

5. Orsay

Another where I have to say AGREED. Everything at Orsay is on point. The Avondale staple boasts it's French inspired, Southern influenced. The cocktails to the desserts are perfect. I'm not be dramatic. Promise. You would think a restaurant with a higher price point might be a little boujee but it's surprisingly casual with a cute industrial flair.

Dip your toe in at Orsay's happy hour. It's all the flavor and half the prices.
