After a solid sleep in the hottest Air BnB (we woke up a literal hot mess), we were ready for Lollapalooza: Day Two. Friday was a big deal because Bruno Mars was the headliner and we all knew that man was gonna show up AND show out.
Our outfits were carefully planned to be cute but functional because we had to run all over to catch the shows we wanted to see.
My outfit was a girly yet bangin floral set of overall shorts with ruffle shoulder straps and a simple tank underneath, both from our friends at The Copper Closet. Vans were a MUST for all that damn walking.
My girl Mel was on the total opposite side of the style spectrum. She found the cutest pair of black platform sneakers from H&M at the St. Augustine Outlets! Livin her Spice Girls dream. She paired it with a cropped white T-shirt, high-waisted shorts with peekaboo fishnets she already owned.
We kicked off the day interviewing R.Lum.R and Lauv. Such chill guys.
R.Lum.R (real name Reggie) is an up and coming Alt R&B artist. His single "Frustrated" is a whole damn vibe and has more than 38 million online streams. The song is a beautiful ballad with this new age R&B sound that immediately puts you in his and your own feelings.
Reggie's also from Florida! He grew up in Bradenton and studied classical guitar at Florida State University. I mean, he passed on my alma mater University of North Florida to go to FSU but it's cool I'M NOT MAD. We squashed our (my) beef when he said he loves Atlantic Beach. So, that's cool.
