TEDxFSCJ Salon: Rediscovering Space
Space exploration and the science behind it are evolving so quickly that we constantly hear putting humans on Mars is finally within our reach! TEDxFSCJ partnered with MOSH to talk about how Florida and the First Coast play a part in space exploration. The impressive speaker lineup includes a NASA engineer but I'm mostly excited about Taylor Richardson. This 14-year-old Bolles student is bound to end up in a flight suit somewhere in space. She's not just clearing the path of diversity for herself, Taylor is an advocate for more girls in STEM. After meeting Michelle Obama (OMG) at a private screening of Hidden Figures, Taylor raised thousands of dollars so she could take as many girls as possible to see the movie, too.
Don't miss out on Taylor's talk and a special telescope pop-up on the MOSH rooftop! The Rediscovering Space salon is at 6:30 p.m. Click here for ticket info.
