Kathy Griffin teamed up with photographer Tyler Shields to create the grotesque photo of her holding the beheaded likeness of Donald Trump. Apparently, she's a longtime fan of Tyler's work.
Kathy felt the HOT backlash and posted her apology.
I am sorry. I went too far. I was wrong. pic.twitter.com/LBKvqf9xFB— Kathy Griffin (@kathygriffin) May 30, 2017
So far, no apologies from Tyler.
Can you go to jail for making an artistic statement??? Asking for a friend... @kathygriffin— Tyler Shields (@tylershields) May 27, 2017
Who is this guy, anyway?
Weeeell, Tyler was born and raised in Jacksonville. He moved to L.A. in 2002 where he started off directing music videos for artists like Ghostface Killah and Defari. Tyler is known for his controversial photography style. His eerie and mostly blood-spattered photos of celebs made him "Hollywood's favorite photographer", according to his website.
