The state of Florida celebrating the life of Jimmy Buffett.
The first annual "Jimmy Buffett Day" today is Friday, August 30th.
Margaritaville Resorts says there will be a series of events through the Labor Day weekend.
Jimmy Buffett Margaritaville plates will be available October 1st and A1A is also now known as the "Jimmy Buffett Memorial Highway" from Georgia all the way to the Florida Keys.
Buffett died a year ago Sunday (Sept. 1) at age 76 from a type of skin cancer.
