Bob Iger worked for Disney for more than four decades; fifteen years as its CEO from 2005-2020. He is replacing his then successor, Bob Chapek.
There's a small catch...
Mr. Iger... has agreed to serve as Disney’s CEO for two years, with a mandate from the Board to set the strategic direction for renewed growth and to work closely with the Board in developing a successor to lead the Company at the completion of his term.
Even though he'll only be back for two years, that's two years that the next CEO will be trained by, what many employees believe, the best CEO.
