September 25th is National One-Hit Wonder Day!
A one-hit wonder is any song that reaches Number One on the ‘Billboard’ charts and the artist never had another song break into the Top 40 after that.
I wanted to take the time to remember the artists whose names have been forgotten, but remember their songs by heart! Here are some of my favorites:
'Teenage Dirtbag' - Wheatus - this one is making a comeback on TikTok! Will this one-hit wonder make it to the Top 40 again?
'Hey There Delilah' - Plain White T's - Personally, I was a fan of their other songs too, but hey it fits the category!
'Come On Eileen' - Dexys Midnight Runners - Not gonna lie, I NEVER knew who sang this song...
'Torn' - Natalie Imbruglia - I feel like this song has always been in my life, and I have no idea where I first heard it.
'I Love It - Icona Pop' - This song was such a bop idk how none of their others took off!
'Absolutely (Story of a Girl)' - Nine Days - Brb this is getting added to my wedding playlist as we speak.
'My Own Worst Enemy' - Lit - I had this absolutely mastered on Band Hero Wii!

'Just The Girl' - The Click Five - There was literally a The Click Five movie called 'Taking Five' that I was obsessed with and I need to watch it again!
'Best Day of My Life' - American Authors - Yet another band that I loved so many songs from, but they fit the category!
'Wonderwall' - Oasis - You might think it ends here, but it doesn't...
'Closing Time' - Semisonic - This will be the last song played at my wedding.
