Texas State University is set to offer a new course, "Harry Styles and the Cult of Celebrity", beginning in its Spring 2023 semester. This was made possible by Dr. Louie Dean Valencia, course-creator and Professor (of Digital History).
Valencia spoke with KXAN in San Marcos, Texas: "As an historian, I want the class to get to really see how the world has changed in the last 12 years or so, but also how to put that into historical context, through the lens of Harry Styles, and how they can learn from him and his art, activism and philosophy, like any great artist."
And Valencia really meant it when he said "through the lens of Harry Styles"! Some of the course material mentioned is studying Harry's music and films, and even reading the work of some of his favorite authors and poets!
