If you ever encounter an anteater out in the wild, there are several things you probably shouldn't do.
A couple of examples:
- Physically threaten the anteater
- Put your mouth on the anteater (you don't know where that animal has been)
- Set it on fire (that's pretty cruel and unnecessary)
- Pick a fight with it
- Anything other than "leave it alone"
They're wild animals, and they're likely to experience fight-or-flight reactions when they feel like their well-being is threatened.
If you need any more convincing, here's what can happen when you don't leave the anteater alone...
How did he expect that to go?
