GMOs, short for "genetically modified organisms," are a hot button topic when it comes to food, agriculture, and how safe and healthy foods are when available for people to purchase and eat.
Many people find GMOs alarming and are concerned that they may be dangerous in long-term consumption. Others insist that there is no meaningful known harm that comes from eating them. And on top of that, there are also debates about the environmental and ethical consequences of GMOs in the agricultural industry.
