In an interview on Marc Maron's WTF podcast, Lin Manuel-Miranda opened up about his younger days -- particularly in high school.
Though the Hamilton star is now loved by many, he revealed that he was bullied as a child. But, the person that did the bullying to him may surprise you. It was political activist and rapper Immortal Technique.
"He was our school bully," Miranda said. "He terrorized kids, he threw them in the garbage. I got thrown in the garbage by him." The Broadway star even recalled being scared of him, when he realized that they would be their high school play together. "He got a part senior year and I was like, 'Oh my god, I'm in a f**king play with the dude that scares the s**t out of all my friends," he said.
Even though the two rappers had bad blood in the past, Miranda still respects Technique and what he now stands for. "He's one of the most political, ideological [rappers], he really made an incredible life for himself as a rapper," the actor/rapper said. "He was a really angry kid and it's been wonderful to watch him grow up and find a political outlet for that anger."
Maybe they can collab together in the near future. That'll be hot.
