Rock Bottom is dubbed as a "mixtape memoir" with the audiobook version having soundtracks to each chapter - featuring music by Jimmy Eat World, Bayside, The Dangerous Summer, Smoking Popes, Bright Eyes, Two Door Cinema Club, Death Cab for Cutie, Mayday Parade, Alkaline Trio, Brand New, Lisa Loeb, and The Wonder Years. All some variant of the pop-punk rock genre.
