Michael Jordan Can't Bring Himself to Delete Last Texts from Kobe Bryant

Michael Jordan is immortalizing Kobe Bryant by doing what most humans do when a loved one dies: hang onto those cherished last conversations.

The NBA G.O.A.T. revealed he last talked to Kobe Dec. 8, 2019, just weeks before Kobe and the other passengers died in a helicopter crash.

Michael told ESPN their conversation was a quick moment between friends.

He added, "I don't know why, but I just can't delete it."

I fully get what he means. My dad died when I was 20 years old and I wish I had more of him to hang onto. Memories fade over time and I wish I had a saved voicemail of him saying "Hola chinita!" to listen to when I miss him a little extra. Now, I save my mom's voicemails. Except the ones where she's mad at me. She's not allowed to haunt me.
