Tyler Posey Shares His Punk Roots With First Original Song

Tyler Posey is mostly known for his role as Scott McCall on Teen Wolf, but did you know he is also a musician? His style is pop-punk rock, and he has been heavily influenced by bands and artists of similar style.

But would you have guessed that Kelly Clarkson was one of those people? Tyler Posey joined Kelly Clarkson on her show to talk about how "Since U Been Gone" has a pop-punk sound that influenced him, and shares the first song he ever wrote when he was just 12 years old - "Mojo"!

Tyler Posey recorded the audiobook version of Mike Henneberger's "Rock Bottom At The Renaissance: An Emo Kid's Journey Through Falling In and Out of Love In and With New York City". Rock Bottom is dubbed as a "mixtape memoir" with the audiobook version having soundtracks to each chapter - featuring music by Jimmy Eat World, Bayside, The Dangerous Summer, Smoking Popes, Bright Eyes, Two Door Cinema Club, Death Cab for Cutie, Mayday Parade, Alkaline Trio, Brand New, Lisa Loeb, and The Wonder Years. All some variant of the pop-punk rock genre.

Tyler Posey talks about his experience recording the audiobook and why this was such a passion project for him in a video series on Henneberger's YouTube channel. Watch the first video in the series below!
