(Yahoo!) - Chris Brown’s bodyguard, Patrick Strickland, 43, is the latest individual to file a lawsuit against Canadian rapper, songwriter and actor Drake, stemming from the brawl that took place last summer at the Soho nightclub W.i.P.
Strickland was allegedly hit in the head with a vodka bottle and required 25 stitches from “severe and disfiguring injuries to his face, head and eyes,” according to the suit.
The bodyguard was on duty protecting Brown on June 14, 2012 when the singer, then boyfriend to pop star Rihanna, allegedly received a note from Drake that read, “I am f--king the love of your life,” according to a suit filed yesterday in Manhattan Supreme Court.
Strickland, who still works for Brown, is also suing the nightclub for an unspecified sum. At least seven other lawsuits have been filed from injuries sustained from bottles thrown from both parties that night. Also injured that night were San Antonio Spurs star Tony Parker, who sustained a scratched retina in the incident, and French model Romain Julien.
